This Week's Schedule
Posted by Noah on July 27, 2010
This week's schedule has not changed -- the games that were postponed last week (July 21) will be played at the end of round 1 (i.e., August 4, assuming the weather cooperates).
The schedule posted on the website is the correct schedule.
Sorry for the confusion and the late notice.
Expiry Date: Wednesday, July 28, 2010
Wed July 21 - No games tonight.
Posted by Brian on July 21, 2010
Games for tonight are cancelled and will be carried forward to next week on account of the weather and wet field conditions at St. Lawrence. IF the weather clears up, please feel free to enjoy a game of pick-up at Tindall field from 7pm onwards, and the BBQ at Elysium is on as always.

The Great Canadian Ultimate Game
Saturday July 17, 2010 at 1pm at Tindall Field
Posted by Noah on July 12, 2010
This Saturday July 17, from 1pm to 2pm (or possibly until 3pm, we'll know soon), Kingston will be taking part in the "Great Canadian Ultimate Game". The GCUG is being organized by Ultimate Canada to raise the profile of ultimate across the country, and to raise money for Boys and Girls Clubs and Right to Play. A cross-country game will start in Yellowknife, NWT at midnight, and continue across the country, with the score being handed off from city to city.
We'll be playing at Tindall Field. It's important that we be ready to start at 1pm, so if you're planning to play, please try to be there ahead of time.
All players are encouraged to bring a minimum donation of $10 -- all proceeds go directly to one of the two charities. Tax receipts can be issued for donations of $20 or more.
Please wear a white shirt if you'd like to play for the "Boys and Girls Clubs" team, or a red shirt to play for the "Right to Play" team. Better yet, please bring both so that we can make sure that we can have roughly the same number of players on each team.
If you're in town this weekend, please plan to come out and play, and support two great causes.
For more details, please see the Ultimate Canada website.

Games Canceled
Posted by Noah on June 30, 2010
Games scheduled for Wednesday June 30 are canceled because the city has closed the field at St. Lawrence "due to excessive water and some damage". There will be pick-up at Tindall from 7 to 11, and the BBQ at Elysium will take place as usual. The same slate of games will be rescheduled for the end of round 1.
The St. Lawrence field is tentatively scheduled to re-open Monday July 5, so pickup this Friday (July 2) is also canceled. We'll confirm that pickup Monday July 5 is on as soon as we hear anything.

University Ultimate Championships in Kingston
Posted by Noah on June 24, 2010
The Canadian Eastern University Ultimate Championships (CEUUC) and the Canadian University Ultimate Championships (CUUC) are both coming to Kingston this fall. The CEUUC will take place September 18-19, and the CUUC October 15-17.
This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of ultimate in Kingston and at Queen's. Tourism Kingston is organizing these events, but they're looking for help with the management of some details, etc. In particular, they'd like some people with some interest in and knowledge about ultimate to volunteer to help with:
- managing and scheduling games
- facilitating game day operations
- facilitating and managing room booking requests
- accepting and managing registrations and accepting team fees
- managing a website
- recruit and managing volunteers
If you're interested in being involved, please contact Cory Quaresma at sporttourism@kingstoncanada.com.
