Rain Policy
Posted by Joel on May 17, 2021
When the weather is questionable please check the web site. I will post the official word by 4pm Wednesday to the web site, facebook and Twitter. If you don't see a post by 4pm, then games are on as scheduled.
Please use common sense. If games are on and we get hit with a thunder storm, stop the game and use the Use the 30/30 rule: When lightning is observed, play stops and the time between the lightning and thunder is counted. When you count 30 seconds or fewer between lightning and thunder, leave the field and take the appropriate shelter IMMEDIATELY. Remain sheltered for 30 minutes after the last peal (or sound) of thunder.
Also, if the fields having standing water on them or are soggy and are likely to get damaged then stop the game.
Spring Hat League
Posted by Joel on March 13, 2021
Due to the extension of the Covid-19 restrictions we will be postponing spring league until May 26.
We will now use Caton fields instead of CaraCo.
Registration will now remain open until May 19 at 11pm.
Below is the original information posted about the league:
We've confirmed fields at CaraCo (Invista Centre) so are now set to open up registration for our Spring Hat League. Games will be on Wednesday evenings April 7 - May 19, with games running 6–7:20pm and 7:30–8:50pm. Given current restrictions and best practices around minimizing the risk of spreading Covid-19, we will be using modified rules (similar to what we did last year).
Normally for a Hat League we try to keep people from forming groups for registration. That said, due to Covid-19 if you are in a bubble with another person playing and want to be on the same team, please make a note of that during registration. I will do my best to have people in the same bubble play on the same team.
For more details and to register please log into your league account. Registration will close April 2 or when we reach capacity.
Expiry Date: Saturday, May 15, 2021
