Fall League
Posted by Joel on August 22, 2007
Fall League will begin September 5th, and continues on every Wednesday until Oct 17th. The cost will be $15 for the 7 week season (please be aware that October weather can be inconsistent, so some games may get cancelled). Given that the days will be getting shorter, the game time will run from 5:30-7pm. The fall league is set up as a "hat league", so you can only register as an individual and you will then be randomly placed on a team. The number of teams will depend on how many people register.
Registration is open until the end of Monday, Sept. 3 and the teams and schedule will be up by Tuesday evening

Format for playoffs
Posted by Joel on August 8, 2007
the first 24 teams will be split into 3 tiers of 8 (1-8; 9-16; 17-24) and will follow the below schedule:
Aug 15: quarter finals
Aug 22: semi finals/ranking games
Aug 29: finals/ranking games
teams 25-30 will continue to follow the ladder system to determine final rankings (this is the fairest system we could think of to deal with 6 teams over three games)

Weekly Schedule
Posted by Noah on July 30, 2007
This week's schedule will be the same as last week's, only each team's ranking will change after last week's games. We haven't been able to post this week's schedule yet because we don't have all the results from last week, but here's how you can figure out when/where you play:
Each week, the league is divided into 15 brackets: 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4, 5 vs. 6 ... 29 vs. 30. Teams that win move up one bracket, and teams that lose move down one. So if you play in the 15 vs. 16 game this week and you win, you will play in the 13 vs. 14 game next week. You can figure out when and where you play by finding the time/location of the 13 vs. 14 game this week and adding 7 days. If you lose the 15 vs. 16 game, you'll play in the 17 vs 18 game, and you can find the time/location the same way.
Having said all that, if we have all the scores in on the Thursday following the games, we can have the new schedule up Friday, and save people having to figure it out for themselves. Captains, please get your scores in as soon as possible following your games.
